January 13, 2018…Elkhorn, Wisconsin … Local Realtors® and Builders Unite!
As southeastern Wisconsin experiences impressive economic growth, it’s natural that the local professionals who provide housing would collaborate to strengthen their services to their members and communities. “It is with extreme pleasure that we announce our move in to the Lakeland Builders Association building on Country Club Parkway in Elkhorn’s Lauderdale Lakes area,” says Denise Schultz, CEO of the Lakes Area Realtors Association.
2018 Presidents Becky Merwin, Lakes Area Realtors Association and Dave Molenda, Lakeland Builders Association met at a banquet in December and the new newly installed leaders immediately began working with their advisors and boards of directors to work together on shared office space as well as the upcoming Home Improvement Expo to be held at The Ridge Hotel January 27-28, 2018.
“When I was the president of Lakes Area Realtors in 2004, we worked closely with the builders’ association,” remembers Merwin. “Ironically, we were neighbors in the West Side Condominium location in Elkhorn at that time,” she says adding, “so for me, it’s wonderful that the Realtors®, builders, and our affiliate business partners will all be under one roof, working together again.” She adds that joint efforts on the upcoming Home Expo is an excellent example of how the services of the two associations overlap to help property and potential home owners in our area.
“As a business coach and best-selling author focused on positive polarity and Growing on Purpose, this collaboration is exactly how I want to begin my year as president of our association,” says Molenda. “Hope focuses on excitement for the future,” he adds “and we hope this is just the beginning of exciting things to come to our members and their customers as a result of our positive leadership and partnership.”
“The delicious coffee, food and beverages with friendly service and inviting atmosphere at Stillwater Coffee Company in the upper level of the building are certainly a value-added benefit to our association of which we look forward to taking full advantage!” says Schultz with a smile. “We have reserved our 2018 board meeting and new member orientation class dates on the community room calendar and know our members will enjoy the convenience of the on-site services.” She adds that this feature of the location also provides a safe and secure environment in which members may meet potential clients, customers, and others for the first time, a major focus of Realtor® associations nationally.
