REALTORS® SUPPORT LOCAL BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
The Lakes Area REALTORS® Association (LARA) has joined forces with the Boys & Girls Club of Walworth County to strengthen communities and support area youth programs through a grant from the statewide Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation.
“We are very pleased to pledge our support for the great work being done year in and year out by the Boys & Girls Club of Walworth County said Denise Schultz, LARA CEO. “Our organizations share the common goals of strengthening our communities and helping our children,” Schultz said.
The REALTORS® support is part of a nationwide partnership between the National Association of REALTORS® and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, launched last year in an effort to make a positive impact on communities across the nation.
“REALTORS® have unparalleled knowledge of local real estate markets and communities while the Boys & Girls Club is the premier youth development organization in America, serving nearly 4 million kids and teens annually,” said Mike Spranger, Chairman of the Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation. “Both groups are essential to their communities and integral to American society,” Spranger said.
The Wisconsin REALTORS® Foundation has embarked on a multi-year effort to help Wisconsin children in need through their “Make It Better – helping Wisconsin children in need” campaign. The campaign will help needy children in four areas – education, hunger, homelessness/abuse and serious illnesses.
“REALTORS® help families find homes every day and in every community,” said Schultz. “But in those communities, there are children suffering facing adversity through no fault of their own. We’re trying to do our part to help,” Schultz said on behalf of the 500+ local REALTORS® she represents.
